Actress Jessica Chastain, born on March 24, 1977, has become known for her stunning ability to portray strong female characters. In 2021, she won her first Oscar for Best Actress for her portrayal in “The Eyes of Tammy Faye,” a biopic about Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker. She was born in Sacramento, California and she was raised by her mother, a vegan chef, and her stepfather, a firefighter. Her parents were married as teenagers. As a child, Chastain developed her talent early by attending theater. She graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1998 and then attended the Juilliard School. After school, she moved to Los Angeles to advance her film career. Chastain began her career with guest roles in television and stage performances, including a notable collaboration with Al Pacino in Oscar Wilde’s “Salomé” in 2006.
